Title:  Can Elementary Students Really Make a Difference? 
Annotation:
 Students will read a book entitled Come Back, Salmon. This story describes the work of an elementary school that cleaned up a nearby creek and successfully reintroduced salmon to this creek. While reading the book, students will strengthen their writing and thinking skills. This is the first lesson plan in the Make a Difference in Your Environment unit.
 
Title:  Wetland Ecology Through Literature 
Annotation:
 Students work in groups of two or three to read a book on water or wetland issues. They will identify the main ideas of their book. Group members will share their book with the class. This is the second lesson plan in the Make a Difference in Your Environment unit.
 
Title:  Students Can Make A Difference! 
Annotation:
  Students work together to create ways to help the local environment. Some will choose to inform the community. Others will choose to construct physical change. This is the third and final lesson plan in the Make a Difference in Your Environment unit.
