Millions of dollars are spent picking up litter each year.
Our state's natural beauty is diminished by carelessly tossed
out trash. Items falling off trucks and cars cause
needless deaths and injuries. Litter threatens health as
trash piles become homes for rats and other pests.
Cleaning up our state will require a united effort to educate
people about the problem, enforce litter laws and take action to
eradicate litter from our communities. But it all starts
